Ahoy! Welcome to Stiftung Seemannshilfe - Deutsche Evangelische Seemannsmission (DESM) in Berlin.
Our foundation is actively involved on a voluntary basis to help seafarers in the Baltic seaports on board and on land. We are currently focusing our services on the Mission to Seafarers (Evangeelne Meremisjon) in Paldiski / Estonia. The necessary funds are exclusively raised by donations and collections.
Obituary
We mourn the death of our foundation's founder, Deacon Wilhelm Seehase, who passed away on 30 January 2025 in Fockbek at the age of 95. Until the end, he was fully committed to our foundation, which he supported with passion and a wealth of ideas. We will miss him very much. Continuing his work will be our obligation for the future.
